Welcome to the Glas y Gors class page!

Miss D Williams is our teacher this year with the help of Miss Pearce and Mrs Storm-Thomas. Mrs Weighell will lead our PPA sessions once a fortnight. There are 29 happy and enthusiastic members in our class that enjoy completing lots of fun actives in our indoor and outdoor areas. 

We enjoy reading, practising our writing skills, completing numeracy work, discovering new digital skills as well as conducting exciting scientific enquiries in the classroom.

Our theme this term is 'Morio' where we'll be looking at the history of Barry docks before moving on to look at famous pirates and the journey of the Mimosa from Wales to Patagonia. 

Important:

•  Our PE lessons will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Children will need a PE bag containing a labelled kit. House colour t-shirt, black shorts or leggings and trainers. PE bags can then stay at school for the half term.
• Each child will read individually every week and books will be changed when children are confident and ready to move on. Reading books will ONLY be sent home in school reading bags. Reading bags are to be brought to school daily.
• Spelling and numeracy tasks will be set on Google Classroom every Friday
• The Dewis Difyr (Homework Takeaway) page will be sent home at the beginning of each half-term in order to continue our learning at home. The first Dewis Difyr will be sent home after the Autumn half-term (10th November).
