Welcome to Helygen class page!

Mr Davies is are our teacher this year. We are also lucky to have the help of Miss Eveleigh every day, and Miss Broderick every morning. There are 30 enthusiastic pupils in our class!

We are continuing to develop our reading and writing skills in our Welsh and English lessons this year as well as developing our Maths and Numeracy skills. We will have the opportunity to enjoy various other subjects such as Science, Design and Technology and Religious Studies to name but a few! 

Our theme for this term is 'Fleeing'. During the summer term, we will be learning about current affairs and the history of refugees, as well as our rights and how we can help others around the world. 

Important!

• Our PE lessons are on a Tuesday and Friday. Remember to bring your kit and appropriate footwear for the field – in case of rain!
• Blue bags will be taken home every Friday containing reading books. These must be returned by the following Wednesday. 
• Spelling words and times tables are set on Google Classroom every Friday for the following week.
• On Fridays we have our spelling / times-tables practices.
• Everyone will need to bring a water bottle to class to ensure that we drink plenty of water during the day. Fruit and milk is not available in the Junior Department, but we also encourage you to bring a piece of fruit to school daily to eat during morning play on the yard.
