- Always speak politely to staff, pupils and visitors
- Remember to open and hold doors and be helpful to others
On the bus
- Sit down throughout the journey
- Do not stand up when the bus is moving
- If your bus is late at the end of the day, wait in an orderly manner on the pavement
- When leaving the bus check that it is safe to cross the road
- If you fail to follow these rules your parents will be contacted and alternative travel arrangements will to have be made
In the corridors
- When arriving at school use the correct entrance
- Always walk on the left with your bags by your side
- Wait quietly in a line outside the classroom until your teacher gives you permission to enter the room
- Do not use the teachers’ corridor without having permission
- Do not leave your coats or bags in the corridors
In Assembly
- Leave your bags and coats in the classroom
- Walk quietly and in line to the hall
- Sit in your form group
- Listen carefully without talking to the message of the Assembly
- Leave the hall quietly and in line
In the classroom
- Do not enter the classroom without the teacher’s permission
- You are expected to enter the classroom quietly, stand behind your desk, take the necessary equipment out of your bag and wait for the teacher to tell you to sit down
- You are expected to speak Welsh in all lessons except in English and Modern Languages
- At the end of the lesson stand quietly until the teacher gives you permission to leave
- Be punctual to your next lesson
- If a visitor/teacher comes into the classroom, stand up quietly
Break and Lunch time
- Stand quietly outside the refectory
- It is your responsibility to clear away your tray and to make sure the table is clean
- Place any rubbish in the bins provided
- No food or drink is allowed to be taken out of the refectory
Wet weather
- You should use the canteen or sit in the refectory during break and lunch times
- You are not allowed in the classrooms or in the corridors
- Respect the environment and put all rubbish in the bins
Bullying
- Bullying is not acceptable behaviour in Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Morgannwg
- Tell a friend or teacher straight away
- You may send a text message to our special number if you have concerns regarding bullying. The number is displayed throughout the school.
